[UPDATE] He's alive and well! He's beaten his cancer into remission! :D
Today's task was to take a story from the news, be it from social media, the newspaper or from news websites, make a storyboard around it, and choose a piece of music to go with it.
We made some storyboards for how a music video would work; we decided that making it more of a tribute video which also doubles up as a music video.
The storyboard shows scenes from the original music video, slowed down and with a slower, piano cover of "We Are Number One". It would then close with a tribute to Stefan Karl Stefansson. It'd be darker and more sombre than other things I've worked on for media, like the preliminary tasks.
The song choice is, as previously mentioned, a slower version of the song that put him on the map.

There would be transitions between shots through black fades, in and out. There would be an old timey filter over it, giving a more reminiscent and nostalgic feel to it.

Wendy and I browsed the BBC News front page looking for a story, and then we found a story so heartbreaking, so depressing, so tragic, that we couldn't not use it...
The actor of Robbie Rotten is going to die any day now.
For context, the character became a popular internet trend, or meme, in late 2016, which was all in aid of paying for his cancer treatment. Despite signs of getting through his illness, it was announced about a week ago that his cancer was terminal.
Here's an example of one of the memes created of his character.
